Another Clean Sheet In Sight For Boro

We are positioned very nicely going into tomorrows game against Doncaster Rovers.

With seven points from a possible nine we have had a very good start. Two away wins in a row and no goals conceded is the form we are looking for if we are to challenge for the title this season.

Gareth Southgate will be looking for our first win at the Riverside this season which would give us a massive platform to build on.

Doncaster Rovers are a tidy team defensively. In their first three games they have only let in one goal so our front men and wide players will have to be at their best to break the Rovers defence down.

Team News

Southgate has the luxury of being able to name the same starting XI for the third game running. Gary O’Neil is still available despite needing a hernia operation and should be able to boss the midfield once again against our next opponents.

Didier Digard and Emanuel Pogatetz are both nearing comebacks and will be available within the next ten days. It was a very smart and very committed decision by O’Neil to postpone his hernia operation until Digard returns to match fitness.

Doncaster Rovers are having problems with injuries to their defence, but whoever they play I expect it to be a tight encounter at times.

We have enough quality in the side and with the confidence of the players running high we should claim all three points and the defence and the goalkeeper should get a fourth clean sheet in a row.

Mark Yeates will get his first goal for the club in front of the home fans.
