Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Norwich City defender Daniel Ayala for a fee of around £350,000.
The 23-year-old already made thirteen appearances and scored three times after arriving on loan in October. But that arrangement came to an end on Thursday.
Ayala has agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal at the Riverside and becomes head coach Aitor Karanka’s first permanent acquisition.
He previously had loans with Hull City, Derby County and Nottingham Forest having begun his career at Liverpool.
