Middlesbrough front-man Lukas Jutkiewicz reckons there’s a new shape and pattern emerging at the Riverside.

The 24-year-old has been impressed with manager Tony Mowbray’s recent recruitment and believes there is already more cohesion within the team. Boro have drawn three of their opening five league games while also winning and losing once.

“It’s been a tricky first month but you have got to say there are real signs of progress there,” Jutkiewicz explained to the Evening Gazette. “It has been a tough start to the season with a string of difficult games.

“The results have been a bit of a mixed bag in terms of results and in a few games were were disappointed not to win,” he continued. “But despite that there are a lot of positives. We have worked hard and in every game we have been in a position where we could have won.”
