Middlesbrough are waiting over the fitness of Mustapha Carayol ahead of their weekend visit to Watford.
The 23-year-old was forced off late during the scoreless draw with Blackburn Rovers at the Riverside on Saturday.
However, head coach Aitor Karanka was hoping the problem wasn’t serious enough to keep him out at Vicarage Road.
Gambian winger Carayol has proved a key performer for the Teessiders this season while scoring seven times in 29 appearances.
