Defender George Friend admitted a fourth defeat in five games was difficult for Middlesbrough to take at the weekend.
Boro are only currently spared a relegation place on goal-difference following their 1-0 home defeat to Watford, but the left-back is still confident of moving in the right direction over the coming weeks.
“To come away like that is frustrating but we’re a resilient group,” Friend told Boro’s official website. “The manager has got a good collective feeling here and we’ll bounce back.
“Every time you lose or you draw when you could’ve won it’s a missed opportunity,” he added. “But we keep looking forward now and next it’s Arsenal and then another home game against Bournemouth. It`s about moving forward and staying together as a collective.”
