Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw believes his colleagues deserved much better against Watford.

The Teessiders are still awaiting a first home victory since returning to the top-flight after Jose Holebas scored the only goal at the Riverside.

“I think we played well at times,” Forshaw told Boro’s official website. “For half-an-hour in the first half we were positive and forward-thinking and on another day we could’ve won the game, never mind drawn it.

“We came out the blocks quite well with a few half-chances and should maybe have taken a couple of them,” he admitted. “In terms of play we definitely deserved more on the day. Obviously we haven’t scored many goals but we’re playing well, getting the ball wide and in the box.”
