Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson has rejoined League One promotion hopefuls Tranmere Rovers on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old centre-back already spent an earlier spell with the Birkenhead club and his latest arrangement could see the deal extended should they make the play-offs.
Gibson was recently forced to return to his parent club for treatment on a groin injury but is now back to fitness and appeared in Boro’s Under-21 draw at Sunderland last week.
Last season the Nunthorpe-born stopper helped neighbours York City to two Wembley victories during a very successful loan at Bootham Crescent.
