How Will Boro Line-Up Against The Swans

Gareth and the boys will probably be getting ready to travel down to the South-West coast of Wales this afternoon so they can get settled in before the big match at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Southgate only has one forced change to make to the side that drew 0-0 with Sheffield United last Friday. Didier Digard has been ruled out for a couple of weeks due to another hip/groin injury sustained during the first game of the season.

Gary O’Neil is likely to replace the Frenchman having just postponed a hernia operation for another 10 days. Good lad.

The dilemma Southgate faces is who to play up front to get us the goals. Tuncay is available after coming through his international match against Ukraine ok and Leroy Lita will be pressing for a start after completing his first full week of training to gain fitness.

I suspect Southgate will make one change the front-line bringing in Tuncay for either Aliadiere or Marvin Emnes.

It will be a tough away trip for us tomorrow. They will be confident after their midweek win in the League Cup. We should be able to match them in every position though and I predict our wide men will cause them problems throughout.

I’m going for a Boro away win. Wow, when was the last time we won away from home in England, let alone in Wales!?

Three To Watch

i’m a boro fan, born and bred in south wales, i’ve seen them play as much as i have the Boro, perhaps more. Watch out for DOBBIE (clever striker and Martinez’s last signing) BRITTON (club legend, small but can mix it with the big boy’s, good passer) and Nathan DYER (flying winger in the Wright-Phillips mold). There missing key men in midfield like Bodde and the young Joe Allen who will be in the premier league soon! We may nick a win but i’d settle for a draw. The Swans are playing with the confidence from last season still high. I’ll be in the away end tomorrow exchanging verbals with the rest of my family who will, as usual be in the home end. Should be fun. In my house it’s Swansea first Boro second but for me it’s Boro first, Boro second, Swansea third 🙂

Great result, hope it’s the start of many more. Hey g4nty think we might have to make you an honorary smog.

ha ha, acceptance at last. Even if my family and mates have disowned me. Bring on Scunny!

I’d bring Tuncay in but have Leroy Lita on the bench. LL is hungry and could be an excellent “impact player for the final 15 minutes. One other thing. Have you noticed that every game is a “must win game” if you are after promotion?
