Aussie keeper Brad Jones is determined to win over the fans after returning to the side at the weekend.

Jones was a shock inclusion at the expense of Danny Coyne and proceeded to justify his selection with a tremendous reaction save from Reading striker Shane Long and several other important stops.

That was after his name was earlier booed when it was read out during the team announcements.

“I hope I`ve proved a point,” he told the Evening Gazette. “I just wanted to go out and play well and show I was worthy of a place.

“Yes, you hear the booing and I know quite a few people doubt me out there but as long as I keep performing well in games then I think can turn them around. You hear it but you just have to ignore it and go out and show them what you can do.

“It`s not nice when it is coming your way. It`s disappointing to hear it but I`m thick skinned enough to shrug it off. I won`t let it bother me.

“You can`t let it get to you. You just have to go out there and play your own game and do your best.”
