Former Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka has denied making an approach to take midfielder Adam Clayton to Nottingham Forest.
The 29-year-old ex-Huddersfield Town and Leeds United enforcer signed a new contract extension in March keeping him at the Riverside until 2021.
However, Forest have recently been linked with a possible bid, although the Spaniard, who was appointed at the City Ground only last week, dismisses this.
“I have known him for a few years,” he told BBC Nottingham Sport. “I know how good a player he is, but now my priority is to think about my players.”
