Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele will be more than satisfied with another scrappy win at the weekend.

Boro travel to take on mid-table Leeds United at Elland Road following on from a less than convincing home win against Wolverhampton Wanderers, when only a couple of very late goals eventually separated the two clubs last time out.

“We knew against Wolves that those are the games you have to win,” Steele told the Evening Gazette. “You have to beat the teams that are going to be there or thereabouts and it doesn’t really matter how you do it. The teams who get up out of this league don`t always get promoted playing perfect football.

“We are at Leeds next and it is always difficult there and sometimes it is a very feisty game but I’d be happy to come away with another ‘ugly` three points,” he added. “I’m not bothered so long as we win.”
