The latest midfield player to be linked with Middlesbrough this week is French midfielder Didier Digard.
The current Paris St Germain player is valued at around £6million but reports suggest that Boro have tabled a bid for £4.5milion.
Liverpool, Portsmouth and Newcastle are also said to be in the hunt for the 21-year-old but Boro remain favourites to seal a deal very soon.
Digard has very similar attributes to the current Boro centre-midfielder, George Boateng and could be the immediate replacement if Boateng decides to move on.

sounds definately like a plan.
I agree, I hope he signs someone who is good on the ball though as well as a grafter. Those players are hard to come by these days.
Digard is apparently undergoing a medical a discussing personal terms – taken from SkySports website.
Fingers crossed, first signing of the summer!
