Newcomer Jozsef Varga came become a real fans’ favourite at Middlesbrough according to their manager Tony Mowbray.
Boro have agreed a one-year loan deal with Debrecen for the 25-year-old Hungarian international midfielder from the beginning of next month.
“He’s versatile, very mobile and athletic,” Mowbray told Boro’s official website. “He can break up attacks and tackle but his athleticism allows him to get into the opposition box as well.
“He has certain aspects of his game that we’re going to have to try to fine-tune but we’re looking forward to working with him,” he continued. “He’s a player with a fully-committed approach who I’m sure our fans will enjoy watching.”
Meanwhile, Cameroon international defender Andre Bikey has left the club after his contract recently expired.
