Referee confirmed for Derby game

The referee has been confirmed for Boro’s crucial weekend visit to play-off rivals Derby County.

The game will be officiated by Lee Probert from Wiltshire, assisted by Simon Beck and Andrew Garratt, with David Coote as the fourth official

His current record for this season is 27 games with 51 yellow cards and 5 reds.

28 Jan 2009 – Chelsea 2-0 Middlesbrough

Boro lost their home meeting with Derby 3-0 earlier in the season, but drew 1-1 on their most recent visit to Pride Park in August 2015. Johnny Russell grabbed a late equaliser for the hosts following Kike’s early opener.

However, the Teessiders won by a single goal on their previous trip to that just five months earlier. Then on loan Chelsea forward Patrick Bamford with the only goal of the contest.
