Middlesbrough striker Curtis Main could be about to sign for Doncaster Rovers.
The 22-year-old was a notable absence from Boro’s squad for their weekend friendly at Rochdale.
Rovers want to take him on a permanent basis and talks are continuing over a move to the Keepmoat Stadium.
Main completed 25 appearances and scored once for the Teessiders last season and also had an early six-game loan spell with Shrewsbury Town.
