Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has told his players to remain focused despite his ongoing search for new talent.

Mowbray is still working on adding to his squad ahead of the opening league game of the season against Leicester City on Saturday. He has so far managed to bring in midfield duo Dean Whitehead and Jozsef Varga.

“We are trying to add one or two bits that can challenge the players we have here, there will be some players to come in,” he told the Northern Echo. “We will wait and see what this week brings regarding signings.

“We need signings, everybody behind the scenes is working hard, it’s not easy and it’s not through the lack of trying and identifying players,” Mowbray continued. “We are in discussions with clubs. Until things get done, we have to keep going.”
