Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray has ruled out any loan arrivals during the current injury crisis at the Riverside.

Boro were without a virtually full side against Watford at the weekend with as many as ten players ruled out. Full-back Justin Hoyte then
suffered a hamstring injury during the game.

“I don’t envisage any players coming in at the moment,” Mowbray told the Evening Gazette. “I get calls from agents telling me lots and lots of players are still available.

“But players cost money and at the moment we are still re-addressing things financially,” he continued. “The chairman has allowed us to bring these players in over the summer and numbers-wise we are okay, thankfully, because we need those numbers due to the injury situation at the moment.”

Meanwhile, one player temporarily going out is young striker Charlie Wyke, who has joined Hartlepool United on a month’s loan.
